Recursion might be too much if each dream can be as long as the ones I was imagining above. But maybe if they stayed a bit shorter that could work... Interesting!
And how much memory would he maintain from a dream? It could put a whole different meaning to "sleeping on a problem". Could he use spare time in dreams to ponder conundrums (or should that be conundra?) or learning a new skill?
Interesting ideas, do wizards gain power in dreams by dreaming? Maintaining a stack of lifetimes in your head could easily lead to madness.
